About Leisure Time

What is it?

Leisure Time is a friendly high afternoon tea for isolated seniors from within our congregation or from the wider community. Guests who no longer are able to drive, and live within the Glen Waverley area are collected from their homes and delivered home by our volunteer drivers. All volunteers have police checks, organised by Leisure Time, at no cost.

First Monday of the month, except public holidays. Hours are 2pm-3.30pm

Our guests are seniors, usually over 60 yrs, who are keen to mix with others.

Relationship with OnTheWayTogether

Leisure Time is a well established and much appreciated outreach GWUC program. From 2012 it has been included as an activity of Community Hub Missional Group. It also contributes to CommunityOutreach and InclusiveCommunity objectives.
