Code of Conduct – Church Council

Church Councillors at Glen Waverly Uniting Church commit to respect and honour the Code of Conduct as issued in April 2014.

GWUC Church Council undertake to approach their work in a prayerful way, intending and seeking to serve God, the Congregation and the community. We commit to listen, to be open to ideas different to our own, and to be transparent, whilst recognising the need for confidentiality and discretion. We also commit to treating everyone with dignity and respect in all our dealings.

We will encourage members of the Congregation, Council and Ministry team to continually discern the leading of the Holy Spirit, and to act responsibly and reflectively in following the way of Jesus.

We will focus on the responsibilities of the Church Council as set out in the UCA regulations.
