Presbytery Report Oct 2012

Presbytery met in Council at Cornish College on Saturday, 13 Oct 2012.

Devotions were led by the Chair, Rev Ian Ferguson. (BelindaClear read the bible reading.)

We heard reports from

  • Community Services
  • Cross Cultural Committee
  • Education and Discipleship
  • Mission and Outreach
  • Pastoral Relations Committee

We approved a proposal to encourage annual reporting and reflecting by ministers, deacons, and pastors.

We heard from Mark Lawrence and Hannah Dungan on the UCA Assembly held recently

We had an interesting demonstration of how clothes lines could inform our mission development from John Emmett, Synod Commission for Mission.

We talked in table groups about collegial gatherings and what it might mean for the Presbytery.
