Finalization of our Staffing Contracts and Arrangements for 2022.
Jemma Graham- Children and Families Worker
We are pleased to advise that at the February Meeting of PRC approval was given and we subsequently received confirmation as to the engagement of Jemma Graham as Children and families worker under the existing arrangements for 2022.
There had been a raft of correspondence between Jay Robinson and PRC Committee and the writer on behalf of our People & Culture Committee over several months.
The issues being raised that any role undertaking specific teaching and development of Faith and Worship classes and materials was believed to fall under the revised Pastor arrangements as implemented in 2019. We disputed such in relation to this role, likening to to a support role and that of traditional Sunday School functions.
As a consequence, without providing all details, we have made minor amendments to the Position Description via People & Culture (Katie Haala and myself) which have removed any issues and satisfied the PRC.
We have issued revised Position Descriptions and amended Letter of Offer to Jemma and Joanne is following up the signing and receipt. David Morgan, Secretary to Church Council also has received the PRC Approvals.
A good result for all involved. We will advise Michelle Ennis (Synod Payroll) and forward copy of the signed Letter of Offer, Position Description and PRC Approval over the next week or so.
Please be aware that we are obliged to advise PRC of any material changes reflecting specific teaching functions over subsequent years.
