NOTES FROM INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY COMMITTEE MEETING

MONDAY 11 DECEMBER 2017. AT 2.30PM.

Jan presented a card and flowers to Elwyn, thanked her for her contributions to all our activities and wished her happiness in the future.

Jan read the Christmas story “Recognising Jesus”.

Pastoral concerns for others were shared within the group. Jan prayed for these people.

Matters arising from last meeting -NIL.
Transfer for Joan and Fred Waine. Jan read the letter from the church at Phillip Island requesting that Joan and Fred’s membership be transferred to Glen Waverley Uniting Church. It was agreed unanimously that we accept their transfer and that Jan will write a letter to the secretary (using official letterhead) informing her of our decision.
Heather has received a phone call from Michael Brownbridge saying that they have moved to Dromana but don’t want a transfer, at present.
Welcoming. Faye presented a list of people who could be available to help with new people after morning services. Neil will look at the list and we will decide about a roster or further action at our next meeting.
Pastoral Workshop-this will be held after the light lunch on 11 Feb. Di. and Jan will organise the program. A flyer will be prepared for the workshop, as soon as possible.
We prepared the program for February to June.
Moved Neil, seconded Barb. that Inclusive Community pay for Jan for the conference that Neil, Di and Jan are attending. Passed unanimously.
