Notes about Inclusive Community Meeting on 11 January, 2016 at 10.30am in Room 1.

SHARING TIME.

Jan read a Christmas prayer-taking Christmas into the New Year. .

PASTORAL CONCERNS:

We talked about pastoral concerns within the congregation. Jan prayed for these people.

MATTERS ARISING FROM LAST MONTH’S NOTES.

REPORTS.

• Prayer Chain-we will continue to put Beverly’s name and mobile number in the monthly bulletin. Report was given by Jan for Beverly.
• Supportive Care Link-.Laurel. Jan has contacted the La Fontaines about their garden-they are coping at present. Glen L is in hospital. Mavis A is in hospital. (Jan and Laurel have visited her. )
• Newcomers-Jan will follow up Tennile's family, Annie and Wei.
• Seniors-Alison.The dates for Seniors’ services are: 17 April, 10 July, 9 October, 11 December. Seminar-23 September.
• Bereavement Support- Alison is looking for a course to do early in 2016. She has visited Max Senior and June Kirkham’s daughters.
• Pastoral Partners- Jan hopes to organise a Pastoral Partners’ workshop early in 2016.
• Roll Maintenance- Jeanne Koietsier-Transfer to Penguin in Tasmania. Sheila Aldons passed away on Boxing Day.
• Card and Correspondence ministry-Faye has sent many cards lately.

GENERAL BUSINESS.

1. We made plans for 2016. Dates that we know so far are attached to these notes.

2. We talked about medical cards. Alison and Jan will speak to Dorothy L, and NeilSkilton about how to proceed.

3. Pancake Day will be at GWUC on the 9 Feb. -11.30-2.30.
4. Disposal of medical aids (walkers etc.) from June Kirkham. Alison will follow this up.
5. Packs for Newcomers. We will discuss this next time.
6. Lunches will be held on 6 March (after Congregational meeting) and 10 April (Moderator’s visit).
7. Annual Report-Jan will complete these and send them to David Morgan.
8. Intergenerational Night-We would like to have one in August or Septemberentertainment, music, food children’s activities.
9. Moderator’s lunch Red Rooster lunch or Spit Roast, carrots and peas from Superior.
