INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY - NOTES FROM MEETING ON 11 March at 3pm in Room 1.

1. Present:

3. Sharing Time:

Jan read 1 Corinthians 12: 12-26 and we discussed it.

4. Pastoral Concerns and Prayer:

We discussed pastoral concerns within the congregation and then Jan led us in prayer.

5. Matters arising from last month’s notes

None.

6. REPORTS.

6.1. Prayer chain. (Jan)

Glad that Prayer Chain was used for Lois. Jan will continue to remind people about the Prayer Chain, in the monthly bulletin.

6.2. Supportive Care Link. (Laurel)

We have prepared a roster for Judith Mance to attend rehab when Neil is unwell. Pam Bunney prepared a roster for Norma to attend rehab.

6.3. Newcomers.

Merlin, Carl, Korean family, Rachel (Monday Young Adults), Claire (Evan’s Bible study).

6.4. Seniors. ( Elwyn)

Preparation for Seniors’ Service has been completed. Jan and Elwyn will take the service on 29 March at 2.30pm. Jan will ask a couple of people to organise afternoon tea.

6.5. Bereavement Support. (Jan for Bobbie)

Bobbie is following up Bruce W., Ann W., Susan Bl., Max L.

6.6. Pastoral Partners. (Jan)

Sandra B. is now contact person for Mona M. Send Elwyn her list again. Find another Pastoral Partner for the Mances. Ring Ann W. and find out if she is UCAF Pastoral Contact person. Greg C. and Winnie McG have offered to be Pastoral Partners.

6.7. Cradle Roll. (Jan for Sue M. )

31 December-22 children on cradle roll. Cards are sent on 1st., 2nd. and 3rd. anniversary of Child’s Baptism. Names are passed onto Kids’ Church when the children are 2.5 years. Sue has two old cards left and then she will start sending new ones. 2013-7 Baptisms. 25 cards sent. 2014-6 Baptisms. 26 cards sent.

7. GENERAL BUSINESS

1) MWAB next weekend. to be held on 15 March-45 booked, 47 definite.

2) Medical form. Faye is preparing a pro forma. We would like congregational members to have cards in wallets or handbags.

3) Transport issue. Jan rang Monash council about Community bus-didn’t reply. Monash Youth Services-bus hire-$50 per day, $5 per hour, petrol $1.15 per Km. Jan will talk to Cliff Baker about prices for buses. We will put a notice in the monthly bulletin asking for people who find it difficult to get to church. Inform them that we are looking at possible solutions.

4) Disabled toilet. Jan wrote to Property and asked if it would be possible to have a portable toilet seat raiser for each disabled toilet as some people in Bible Study group (and others) are having trouble using the toilets.

8. Any other items.

Church Anniversary-ask Faye to book Spit Toast people. (150 people) ($20 for adults, $10 for children)

Light Lunch after 11am service -12 April.

Lynn P. -having foot surgery on 20 April.

Pamela L.- moved to Warragul.
