Inclusive Community Minutes for 14 Nov 2012
Meeting held on Wednesday 14 Nov 2012.
1. Correspondence IN and OUT. Request from Alex and Walter Skilton for transfer to Healesville Uniting Church. This has been completed. Request from Rev. Tom Rose, wife Heather and daughter Jennifer for transfer from Manningham Uniting Church to GWUC. We need to accept this.
2. We discussed the possibility for implementing a program that will enhance our pastoral care program that we have at present. We are purchasing the manual and will speak to Margaret Allan about the program as she implemented it elsewhere.
3. The committee recommends that the Anniversary Service be held on Sunday 23 June, 2013 and that it should be arranged by Inclusive Community and the Ministry Team. As part of this service we would welcome newcomers and have lunch afterwards.
4. We are looking at the possibility of re-introducing the Prayer Chain. We spoke to Elders about this tonight and Belinda is emailing Elders who were unable to attend tonight.
5. Belinda will talk to the young families about adopted grandparents and we will approach people when we have more of an idea of what is required.
6. Morning tea will be served after the 11am service on Sunday 9 December.
7. Munch with a Bunch will meet for lunch on Sunday 25 November at the Mountain View.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 16 January 2013.
