Community Hub Missional Group Report to Church Council October 2014
We wish to advise Church Council of a few changes that will occur in 2015 in the Co-ordinator positions of CHMG and it’s activities.
1. Leisure Time:
Margaret Fraser, who is the current Co-ordinator of Leisure Time, will not be standing for re-election as the Co-ordinator at the Leisure Time AGM in April 2015. Margaret will complete 6 years in the role at that meeting. At the moment no replacement for Margaret has been found, but L.T. will continue to operate next year. The L.T. committee is keen to hear from anyone who would consider the Co-ordinator position, or from people who may be willing to share the role.
2. Community Hub leadership:
I will be finishing my time as Co-ordinator of the Community Hub Missional Group at the end of January 2015. I have been in this position since the beginning of the Community Hub in July 2009. At this time The Hub was the only activity under the Community Hub, and it was exciting to have travelled the journey over the last few years as the activities of Cooee, Leisure Time, Playgroup, Story Hub and Welfare joined with The Hub and all became part of the Community Hub Missional Group. I have really appreciated the support of the CHMG members, and at this stage I am continuing as Co-ordinator of The Hub, so will still be involved with these wonderful people.
Geraldine Fleming will be the Co-ordinator of the Community Hub Missional Group from February 2015. Geraldine has been the Secretary of the CHMG for the past few years. Jenny Vass will be the Secretary of the Community Hub Missional Group from February 2015 for at least 12 months. I would like to thank the Church Council especially Elwyn our CHMG church council rep. for her involvement and the support given to me as co-ordinator of CHMG.
