FISH Christmas Lunch Setup Instructions

There are 6 large round tables and 5 small round tables (the folding legs ones) required. These are kept in the new storage area on the south side of the hall (next to room 4). The following describes the setup for 100 people.

  1. Set up 4 tables along each side of long walls of the hall, with 3 large tables and 1 small table, with the small tables at the western end of the hall. The small tables at the end are usually reserved for children.
  2. Set up the remaining 3 small tables down the middle of the hall, between each group of 4 tables (like a 5 on a die).
  3. If numbers are larger than 100, use the small round purple tables from the fellowship area for overflow, placing them in the corners of the hall as appropriate.
  4. Place 10 seats (use the stackable chairs, kept in the western end storeroom) around each large table, and 8 seats around each small table. (If the purple tables are used, these take 4 seats.)
  5. Place 2 white folding tables (from storeroom, or room 1) along the wall between the door to the kitchen and the door to the fellowship area. These will be used for tea and coffee serving.
  6. Cover each table with a red round plastic tablecloth. JudithGreenwood keeps these, and will bring them on the setup day.

  7. Set each place with knife (right hand), fork (left hand), dessert spoon (across top). Cutlery is available in the kitchen.
  8. Set each place with a glass. These are available from the cupboard under the servery bench in the kitchen.
  9. Set each place with a paper serviette. Again, JudithGreenwood will supply these.

  10. In the fellowship area, arrange 2 folding white tables on either side of the servery bench, staggered so that the ends clear the nearby pillars, and there is space for foot traffic behind them to the kitchen servery window. These tables will be used for serving the food.
  11. Cover these tables with supplied tablecloths.
  12. Round purple tables from the fellowship area should be moved out of the way in a line along the steps to the foyer, across the foyer area proper (i.e., keep the hall side passageway clear).

Please ensure that setup is completed by midday. Remember that the church is in use on Saturday evenings by the Chinese Church.
