Letter to Council regarding future congregation meetings

Dear Executive Council,
After deliberation and discussions with appropriate people and arising from Monday night's congregational meeting, we will be convening the next congregational meeting at 11am in the worship centre on 25 Aug 2013. This is for the purpose of electing our new church council.
We would like to hold a combined service at 10am and have the congregational meeting followed by lunch. We propose Church Council fund approximately $300 towards providing lunch.
It is imperative that the new Glen Waverley Uniting Church format is well affirmed, well understood and well received. We believe the inclusive nature of our proposed format (service/meeting/lunch) will be conducive to this by encouraging the spirit of fellowship in our growing community of love
As per normal practice we will evaluate the success of this “trial format” for future congregational meetings.
