== About the Community Hub ==
Community Hub
Line 24: Line 28:
The Community Hub started about 10 months ago, from the program “On the Way Together”.

The purpose of the Hub is to reach out to the Church Community as well as the wider community of Glen Waverley.

The Hub is open every Tuesday & Thursday from 10.00 am – 2.00 pm during school terms.

The Hub is a place where you can have time out from your busy lives to have a chat and a cup of tea or coffee, and meet new and old friends.

There are around 40 volunteers who give up their morning or afternoon and take the time for those who would like a bit of company.

There is usually one of the Ministers around so it’s a time to get to know them on a casual level.

At the moment the committee is working on updating the Hub leaflet and then the leaflets will be delivered to the neighbourhood houses and libraries.

If you know of anyone who would like to practice their English, the team of the Hub is more than happy to help them with their English by having informal conversations with them.

If you have not been to the Hub, and you are free on a Tuesday or Thursday call in and say ‘hi’ - the team would love to make you a cuppa and have a chat.
