MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, 2 FEBRUARY 2010 BETWEEN HEIDELBERG CHORAL SOCIETY & GLEN WAVERLEY UNITING CHURCH CHOIR

Present:

  1. Programme:
    • As per attached to be called ‘Cathedral Music’. Action: HCS to prepare and print 100 copies John Hurst to email ‘stained glass window’ to Myfanwy Notify John Craig of change of time
  2. TICKETS
    • Ticket prices will be fixed at $20 and $18 Concession Action: GWUC to print tickets and let HCS have a batch to sell in their area. GWUC to place someone on door to sell tickets on the day of concert. HCS encouraged to set up table to sell their CDs.
  3. Afternoon tea
    • Action: GWUC will handle with extra help.
  4. Publicity/promotion
    • Action: GWUC
      • In-house publicity
      • Waverley Leader
      • Community radio
      • Other choirs
      • Possible advertising board from local estate agent.
      • In addition, the concert will be advertised in conjunction with the GWUC book fair via printed flyers.
      HCS
      • Will employ their normal advertising methods used for their concerts plus the HCS website.
  5. MC/Compere
    • Action: GWUC to appoint one of the choir to introduce the HCS. HCS will work out whether their conductor will talk in between items and the logistics of its performance (process in etc)
  6. OTHER MATTERS
    • PARKING: Either in the Council car park opposite the church or in the multi-story car park on Bogong Avenue. Parking on the shopping strip in Kingsway is only for one hour at any time. STORAGE ROOM: Room 4 will be booked for the afternoon to enable members of HCS to store their belongings there. SCHEDULE: HCS to arrive by 1.30 pm to set up, warm up etc.
