Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays are the days a group of volunteers will be showing hospitality in the development of The Hub at GWUC. The church will be open from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm each Tuesday and Thursday and now Wednesdays from 10.00 am until 12.00noon for anyone to come in and have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit! This is a chance for you to come by yourself, bring a friend and spend some time talking with others. If English is your second language, you are welcome to come and practice your English through conversation.
It would be great to see you there, and if you would like to be part of this outreach by volunteering to help on one of these days please contact the church office.
The purpose of The Hub is to connect with people in the wider community who come in to the church, and also people in our congregation, by being welcoming, offering hospitality and growing relationships with these people.

The Hub is open every Tuesday from 10am – 12pm, during school terms.

[[RosterTheHub|The Hub Roster]] is available online.

The Hub started in July 2009, with its genesis in the program [[OnTheWayTogether|“On the Way Together”.]]

The Hub is a place where you can have time out from your busy lives to have a chat and a cup of tea or coffee, and meet new and old friends.

There are around 27 Hub volunteers. Some are on a roster spending their Tuesday morning at The Hub, offering hospitality, and talking with and listening to the people who come. Others are helping with our Special Morning Teas. You can see the list of workers at The Hub in TheHubGroup.

There is usually one of the Ministers around so it’s a time to get to know them on a casual level.

If you know of anyone who would like to practice their English, the team of the Hub is more than happy to help them with their English by having informal conversations with them

Special Morning Teas for GWUC people and the wider community are held 5 times a year supporting various Community Charities.

If you haven’t been to The Hub, call in one Tuesday morning and say “Hi.” Our Hub volunteers would love to make you a cuppa and have a chat.
