In particular, VIT registered teachers must notify the WWCC of any child-related work they do outside of teaching. This means any appointed leaders who have a VIT registration are required to do this. As part of the process they need to link their registration to the organisations where they volunteer. We would grateful if you could please liaise with and support any VIT registered people in your local, VICTORIAN context. To assist in this process, they must use the following details when the notify the WWCC. Please note, they should provide two entries: Organisation name: Glen Waverley Uniting Church Contact name: The Culture of Safety Unit Contact email: wwccr@victas.uca.org.au Contact number: 9251 5200 Organisation name: Glen Waverley Uniting Church Contact name: Dorothy Lockhart Contact email: safechurch@gwuc.org.au Contact number: 03 9560 3580 Creating these links will generate two emails – one to your congregation’s email & one to the Culture of Safety Unit. Once you receive the confirmation email from the WWCC, please go about updating the VIT cardholder profile on your congregation’s WWCC database page as normal ( https://nod.victas.uca.org.au/) using the following format – VITxxxxxx (registration number) and attach a scanned copy of the correspondence (letter/email). Note: There may be instances where an individual holds both VIT & WWCC cards. Please leave the WWCC profile and simply create or update a second VITxxxxxx profile for them. Thanks for your assistance with this. Josh Tuhipa-Turner }}}
