He does not want to relocate his family until he has a permanent placement which I understand. He is willing to do 0.5 or up to 0.7 (I have spoken 0.5 with him) where he works for 2 or 3 weeks and then returns to Tas for a week. (maybe 2 weeks and 2 weeks off but he may prefer to work over 3 weeks) I had said to Anneke that if supply is hard because I want the right person here to work with, then if someone can do two Sundays a month that would make a big difference. == Supply Arrangement for the first half of 2023 ==
=== Proposal ===
 * RevHoonYou has been proposed by Presbytery as a supply minister at GWUC for six months, commencing early February.
 * Neil, Glyn and David have spoken to him, and fully support the proposal. Neil knows him.
 * Hoon is looking for a half time position.
  * His family will remain in Tasmania, with him working 2/3 time at GWUC for three weeks, and then returning to his family for one week. The weeks are flexible.
  * We would supply a manse, probably #15, with minimal furniture.
 * This is seen as an intentional ministry, bring his gifts and strengths to a range of ministries, not just taking services.
  * Hoon has a real interest and passion for Cross-Cultural Ministry. He would like to lead worship but also have a focus on helping us intentionally think and explore cross cultural ministry.
  * He has also worked in youth and families ministry.
  * He would like our arrangement expressed in a covenant agreement so we are clear on expectations. We see this being agreed during January.
 * He knows Glen Waverley, having been in ministry at Monash UCA, and is enthusiastic about coming here.

Hoon has a real interest and passion for Cross-Cultural Ministry. So if he were to come he would like to lead worship but also have a focus on helping us intentionally think and explore cross cultural ministry. He knows Glen Waverley. He would love to help us. He would want to work with our church council and other leaders in this focus area. He also has an interest in helping congregations thrive. He would like our arrangement expressed in a covenant agreement so we are clear on expectations. === Council accepted ===

He would need to stay in one of our manses and we would need to provide some basic furniture. He can't bring furniture on the plane.
He would need a car. He could buy a reliable second hand car or he said there may be a car someone would be prepared to lend him or maybe someone in the congregation might sell him their reliable car they no longer need. He is just open to possibilities.
