Indonesian Cultural Night – Saturday 12 August - Our Church Community is invited to an Indonesian Cultural Night to be put on by the small Indonesian congregation who have been worshipping in our premises on Sunday afternoons. They are seeking to integrate into our congregation and this would be a great way for us to get to know one another. The night will include dinner, song and dance. Cost for the event is by donation. Profits will be shared between Glen Waverley Uniting Church and supporting rural ministry in Indonesia.
Confirmation Group - We are looking for those interested in exploring more about their faith, church, the bible and the ethos of the Uniting Church and the tradition of confirmation to join a confirmation group.
The group would be looking at a ten week commitment, with opportunities to be mentored, visit other churches, learn, discuss and question in a group setting.
Please contact Neil or Alanee if you are interested or have any questions.Safe Church Training - Safe Church Training will be offered at the following times in September – Wednesday 6 at 7.30pm, Friday 8 at 2.30pm and Sunday 10 at 2.30pm. Please think about which of these dates might suit you.

Seniors Service – Sunday 16 July - All are welcome to come and join with us for a service based around the Lord’s Prayer. Nomination for Church Council - This year there will be nine vacancies to fill on Church Council. An election of Church Councillors will be held on Sunday August 20 following each worship activity. In preparation, please consider carefully whether you are willing to accept nomination and whether there are people you wish to nominate. Nomination forms are available from the Stewards Table. UCAF – Tuesday 4 July at 10am - Members will meet for morning tea at 10am. This will be followed by our meeting where we wil hear from Hanna Landray from South-east Volunteers. All are welcome to attend.

Material Aid Offering for June – Sunday 11 June - This month the Material Aid Offering will be in support of the Glen Waverley Uniting Church Welfare Committee. Non-perishables such as breakfast cereals, long-life milk, Milo, canned fruit, soups and meals, as well as tea, coffee, biscuits, toothpaste and brushes, would all be appreciated.

The Walk highlights concern about the harsh treatment of refugees. A flyer is available on the Stewards Table or the Outreach notice board for further details.
Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday – Friday 14 April - Following the 9.15am service on Good Friday, 14 April, Hot Cross Buns and a cuppa will be available in the hall. Please bring some Hot Cross Buns to share. Everyone welcome.
Way of the Cross – Friday 14 April at 11am - The Way of the Cross will be celebrated at Waverley Central Oval (cnr Waverley and Springvale Roads) at 11am on Good Friday. This is an ecumenical event open to all.
Family Easter Event – Easter Day Sunday 16 April – Volunteers Needed - Easter Sunday afternoon at 3pm we will be holding another Children’s Easter Event here. Three Blind Mice – Mousetrap Theatre – Monday 20 February - On Monday 20 February the local production of “Three Blind Mice” will be presented at Croydon UCA at 7.30pm. Proceeds from ticket sales will assist Asylum Seekers through Lentara. Details of this production are on the Outreach noticeboard.
