The Hub

Role:

To facilitate a healthy Christian environment for the wider community and members of the Congregation to enjoy, through the establishment of healthy relationships and warm hospitality. Additionally, to ensure The Hub programs operate safely, while providing adequate pastoral support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and warm hospitality through coffee, biscuits and conversation
• To uphold the vision, mission and policies of GWUC
• Attend on their chosen day
• Notify their daily leader if they are unable to come
• Engage in community-building conversation, underpinned by God’s unconditional love for all his children.
• Discreetly oversee the interaction between participants and discuss any matter of concern with the daily leader
• Resource and support participants (for example, English classes) where possible

Requirements:

• A current Working with Children Check.
• A passion for connecting with people in the wider community
• A commitment to growth in their own faith.

Commitment:

• Every Tuesday from 10am-2pm and/or Wednesday from 10am-12noon and/or Thursday from 10am-2pm, during the school term.
• Meeting approximately 2 times every year
