Playgroup Team Member
Role:
To facilitate activities that encourages a healthy Christian community for children and parents. Additionally, to actively care for the children/parents by ensuring programs operate safely while providing adequate pastoral support.
Responsibilities:
- To uphold the vision, mission and policies of GWUC
- Attend on their chosen day
- Notify their daily leader if they are unable to come
- Generally assist with or lead those activities at Playgroup when they feel comfortable doing so they feel comfortable with
- Help mothers and children feel welcome and supported
- Discreetly oversee the interaction between playgroup members and discuss any matter of concern with the daily leader
- When possible, attend Playgroup Team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for Playgroup activities and organisation
Requirements:
- A current Working with Children Check.
- A passion for providing children and parents with opportunities to share in fun and friendship in a Christian community environment
- A commitment to growth in their own faith.
Commitment:
- Weekly, to be confirmed with the Playgroup Coordinator.
- Potentially attending meetings every quarter
