Playgroup Team Member

Role:

To facilitate activities that encourages a healthy Christian community for children and parents. Additionally, to actively care for the children/parents by ensuring programs operate safely while providing adequate pastoral support.

Responsibilities:

  • To uphold the vision, mission and policies of GWUC
  • Attend on their chosen day
  • Notify their daily leader if they are unable to come
  • Generally assist with or lead those activities at Playgroup when they feel comfortable doing so they feel comfortable with
  • Help mothers and children feel welcome and supported
  • Discreetly oversee the interaction between playgroup members and discuss any matter of concern with the daily leader
  • When possible, attend Playgroup Team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for Playgroup activities and organisation

Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A passion for providing children and parents with opportunities to share in fun and friendship in a Christian community environment
  • A commitment to growth in their own faith.

Commitment:

  • Weekly, to be confirmed with the Playgroup Coordinator.
  • Potentially attending meetings every quarter
