How to record on Zoom
- Open Zoom
- Click on "New Meeting" or "Start". (The choice depends on whether you are showing Home or Meetings.)
- You should see video of yourself.
- Move the cursor over the picture of yourself if needed, to make the Record button appear at the bottom of the window.
- Click the "Record" button. Select "Record on this computer" if a popup menu appears.
- Do your thing, whatever you want to record.
- When finished, click on the "Stop Recording" button, the small black square where the "Record" button used to be.
- Now you need to find the saved recording.
Mine is saved in a folder something like Documents:Zoom:2020-08-31 14.29.38 David Morgan's Zoom Meeting 93330706443
- You may need to search for ZOOM in the Finder or Desktop Explorer or similar.
- Sometimes closing the meeting brings up a message about saving it.
- Open that folder / directory.
- Open (double click) on double_click_to_convert_01.zoom
- Zoom will convert he "Meeting" and ask for a place to save it. Choose anywhere that you can find again.
- If the resulting file is less than 10MB, you can send it as an email attachment.
If not, use a cloud service of your choice. There is a link to a Google Drive account on from StreamingServicesContributions.
