= Safe Place For Kids Policy =

Glen Waverley adopted the UCA policy. 

  "The Uniting Church in Australia is committed to provide safe places where people are cared for, nurtured and sustained. The Uniting Church commits itself to the care, protection and safety of all children relating with it or its agencies. We seek to provide a safe environment for children to encounter God, to develop relationships as part of a community, and to grow in faith."

The Working with Children (WWC) Check is one mechanism to help keep children safe. It is designed to complement good recruitment, selection (including reference checking), supervision and training practices for staff and volunteers who work with children. All adults supervising children are required to have these checks.
