Organ Playing - BruceBrown
We are pleased to advise that Mr BruceBrown, a well known local organist with many years experience has agreed to join our schedule and will play at GWUC Services at 11.00am on a regular basis as part of our organist schedule.
Following the recent retirement of Robert Fleming we have been searching for another experienced organist.
Geoff Willis had contact with Bruce who has played for many years at another Church, but with changes to their services he retired and was available to assist our need. He is well known and we negotiated over early January. He is very happy and we are delighted.
He will also be available to assist with Funerals. He has previously played for funerals at GWUC.
For those who attended yesterday’s 11.00am service it was a pleasant surprise to have Bruce play and he will be scheduled by Joanne alongside Geoff and Matthew.
We are also seeking to identify and form a list of skilled pianists who will or may be able to play at some services where there isn’t a scheduled organist. At this time we have a group of 5-6 pianists. GeoffWillis and Joanne are coordinating this group.
We are indeed fortunate to have these gifted musicians available to join playing our beautiful organ.
We apologise that we hadn’t conveyed this change earlier.
