Indonesian Fellowship
Glen Waverley Uniting Church
Report as per May 2018

To:
Church Council
Glen Waverley Uniting Church

On behalf of our Indonesian fellowship, I would like to thank the Church Council of Glen Waverley Uniting Church for fully supporting our small fellowship.

We take this opportunity to give you a short report about our activities from April 2017 to date:

We are comfortable in GWUC, because your members are very friendly, which make us feel at ease to integrate to build a strong unity in diversity church.

We have had two big programs presented in 2017:

This year we are planning to have 2 programs :
1. "Interfaith Gathering"
We will invite speakers from 3 different faiths : Islam, Buddha and Hindu, to introduce their faiths followed by Q&A. Our aim is introduce GWCA as a multicultural Church, promoting respect peace and harmony living in Melbourne.
Our available fund is $400.- (Monash Council Grant for ICM), donations from Indonesian fellowship, and we would appreciate some donation from GWUC. We will invite approx. 70 guests from interfaith groups, Mayor of Monash, Councillors, MPs and members of GWUC who are interested in such an event. Date: 25 August 2018 in conjunction with celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day.

2. Indonesian Christmas Worship and Celebration, Sunday 2 December, 5.00 pm.
This is an Indonesian style, worship to celebrate Christmas and story of Christmas.
Funds for catering and celebration will derive from Indonesian fellowship plus donation from members of GWUC.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Church Council/Elders and to seek approval plus support for the above 2 programs to be held at our GWUC church hall.

Thank you and kind regards,
Your friend in Christ
