OUT === * application for a larger freezer (purchased from Endowment Fund) that has been included in the bulletin.and will be voted on this Sunday 2 September. * letter sent to Dietrich-thanking him for his work and wishing him well for the future. === REPORTS. === a. PRAYER SUPPORT. - no report. a. SUPPORTIVE CARE LINK-given by Laurel. Laurel caught up with Jennifer and Graeme Mo. Jennifer’s health is fairly stable, at the moment. a. PASTORAL VISITING REPORT-, given by Di. Di has made twenty-three visits, attended eleven meetings, five special services and made many phone calls. a. BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT. Di has visited Graeme Pratt. a. ROLL MAINTENANCE- David and I are working through the database to update details. -ongoing process. a. CARD AND CORRESPONDENCE. Faye has given new baptismal cards to Sue M. They are lovely. === GENERAL BUSINESS. === * Budgets. We formalised our vision statement for Seniors’ Ministry ''To minister to senior members of the congregation in spiritual, pastoral, social and supportive ways, and to the wider community through links with retirement villages, hostelsand nursing homes.'' * Hospitality was included in the Inclusive Community budget (not just Catering). Jan will give change to Heather. * Arrangements for Sunday’s Fathers’ Day Morning Tea. Jan will notify morning tea helpers that they will not be needed. FOOD- 7 dozen sausage rolls, pizzas, sausages in bread, pretzels, potato chips, liquorice, lemon curd tarts, Faye as made 24 Happy Fathers’ Day bags. She and her family will set up on Saturday afternoon. We need to be there at 10am on Sunday morning. * Wednesday and Thursday English classes - ongoing arrangements. Thursday group moving to the hall on 6 September. (This did not happen because there was a funeral. ) * Neil’s reports. The Indonesian dinner-about 80 attended (15 from the congregation), outstanding speakers. Bush Dance- about 40 attended. It was a good night although numbers were not huge. * Dementia workshop at St. John’s on Friday 14 September. * Vass’s coming to morning tea after combined service. on 21 October. We will provide cake. Jan will ask Glyn if CC will organise the gift. * light lunch-9 September-catering. soup, little quiches - Faye, sandwiches-Barb (salmon and egg-one loaf of each), Jan-ham, Laurel-cheese. fruit -Alison. date loaves Marj. * MWAB-19 August-report. This went well. Extra people who should be invited to the end of year function- Honeybones, Mary and Jim Ebsworthy, Waines, Barbara Chamberlain, Graeme Pratt, Onn Chin. George will do a spit roast. There will be gifts and entertainment. * Seniors’ High Tea 14 October . - Musicians- Greg Cl., Lynn P., Jacob, Michael and Matthew, Will include Grace and Blessing. Alison will put a sign up sheet on the office counter. Catering-Jan R. and Faye. tables in fellowship area and foyer, Do we need a small stage? Alison will ask Warren G.
