Tasks for Door Stewards

Receive the offering - plates to stay in the church until after the service. Two large offering bowls to be placed at the base of the communion table, two on the foyer table, and one for the choir Remove relevant sheet from the Prayer Book to be taken forward with the offering. PLEASE DO NOT take the offering forward until the organist has finished his/her voluntary or indicates to you for you to move forward. Stewards to return the offering and place on the communion table. Money will be counted by others. After the first service collect any surplus literature from pews and generally tidy up. If the windows have been opened close and lock them.

11.00am STEWARDS: ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO SIT TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH Please record attendances in folder on foyer table After service, collect any surplus literature from pews, ensure that all lights, PA power switch (switch outside sound room door), ceiling fans etc, are turned off, and that all doors and windows are locked . Remove DISABLED PARKING signs and store in switchboard cupboard PLEASE MAKE SURE THE POWER IS SWITCHED OFF (OUTSIDE SWITCH TO SOUND ROOM) FOLLOWING THE 11.00am SERVICE. DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE POWER POINTS IN THE SOUND ROOM Please NOTE: that on days when a larger than usual congregation is in attendance e.g., baptism, stewards are to ask a duty elder to assist in collecting the offering.
