=== Endowment Fund - Proposal from Badminton Club. (Andrew Hosking) ===
The number of ping pong players have increased markedly over the last six months and the Badminton Club is running short of table space on some nights. For some time now they have been investigating the possibility of options for replacing two of our table tennis tables. With the approval of Church Council, the Badminton Club seeks approval from the Congregation for $1,000 to be made available from the Endowment Fund Interest to meet the cost of purchase of two table tennis tables. This proposal meets the criteria of the fund in that it can be seen to be part of the wider community outreach programs of the church.

'''Proposal'''

The congregation agrees to the expenditure of $1,000 from the Endowment Fund for the purchase of two ping pong tables and bats for the Badminton Club, as recommended by Church Council at their meeting on 2018-08-22.

=== Safe Church (David Morgan) ===
'''Congregation commitment'''

In December 2016 the congregation meeting (CongMeetingMinutes20161213) approved the proposal that: That the Congregation reject the Church Council’s proposed Code of Conduct for Members, and ask the Church Council to lead a process to develop a new way of describing how we aspire to treat each other.

That Code of Conduct, adopted by Council but rejected by the congregation, forms the basis of our current Safe Church posters. Inspired by looking at church statements in the UK, we have come up with the following proposed new poster.

{{attachment:SafeChurchPoster2018.png}}

'''Proposal'''

As a congregation, we commit to:

 * the care and nurture of, and respectful pastoral ministry with all adults and children. This includes paying due regard to the beliefs and wishes of adults and children in the development and delivery of church led activities, including worship.
 * the safeguarding and protection of all children, young people and vulnerable adults, recognising that vulnerability changes with circumstances.
 * the establishment of safe, caring communities within our church which provide a loving environment maintaining a culture of 'informed vigilance' as to the dangers of abuse.
