Visual identity templates on the wiki?
JohnHurst says "not a good idea". The wiki is about information, pure and simple. It is NOT a sales pitch or branding exercise, and "visual identity templates" have no place. Some members will be aware of the relatively strong stance I have taken against posting PDFs on the wiki - they promote form over content, which is anathema to a wiki. If you cannot express your ideas in the formatting conventions that the wiki allows, then you probably should not be posting it on the wiki. Besides which, such "form-first" usage is memory-expensive, and the church will find that it has to pay more for such storage in the future if it does not resist such devices now.
JohnSnare says this is not a suggestion to apply the visual identity templates to wiki content. The idea is for people wishing to use the templates for some non-wiki purpose to be able to find them on the wiki
