=== AREA 3 ===
'''Hall, Vinyl floor in South Extension entrance, Paved entry areas of main building- north & south'''
Note that as of July 1 2019, you are no longer required to clean the toilets as part of Area 3 cleaning duties. Church Council has agreed to employ a commercial contractor to clean the church toilets. The Property Committee made this recommendation to Church Council as the high use of the church facilities is placing an unsustainable workload on our cleaning volunteers. A levy for toilet cleaning will be charged to external hirers of the GWUC facilities. This, and church revenue will help fund the commercial cleaning of the toilets.
a. GENERAL - Empty rubbish bins throughout Area 3.
a. HALL - Vacuum under chairs and tables around the walls of the hall. <
>Sweep remainder of floor with a dry electrostatic mop (orange mop). DO NOT use oil or kerosene on mop.<
>Sweep floor lengthwise and on completion, shake mop to dislodge dust. Clean mop thoroughly and collect dust with vacuum cleaner. After sweeping, wash floor (except under furniture around walls), using Microfibre wet mops (yellow, red or green mops only) and wringer buckets. Use the 'Agar Mop n Dry Detergent 200 ml x 10 litres as per filling cup attached to detergent drum. It is important to remove all excess water from the mop before applying it to the floor. This prevents water marks being left on the floor as it dries. A plastic cloth dampened with detergent may help to remove difficult scuff marks. Wash mops after use in clean water and hang to dry.<
>Don't be daunted - the floor needs care - two people can cope with this task in about one hour. It seems that some are emptying the mop buckets into the urinal in the male toilet. The dirt and flock from the mops is causing blockages in the drain which is designed for liquid waste only. The trough in the Cleaning Cupboard should be used as it is suited to the purpose.
a. Clean 'Tenex' doormat at southern door of Hall - from carpark- by shaking, vacuuming or hosing down as required.
a. SOUTH EXTENSION ENTRANCE: Wash vinyl floor as for kitchen floor.
a. PAVED ENTRY AREAS: Sweep north and south paved entry areas using stiff bristle broom. A blower will be available to remove leaves if required.
=== GARDEN DUTIES -OUTDOOR AREA ===
a. Mow all lawn area surrounding church complex and trim edges. Grass clippings to be deposited in green bins. Do not fill bins over half full as the weight will exceed the allowable weight and bins will not be emptied by Council contractors.
a. Check and remove any windblown rubbish from the Carpark and church surrounds. A blower will be available if required.
a. Sweep paths as required, including ramp entrance to the South Extension.
a. Weed garden beds as required.
