* Ineke always got the hymns for Sunday to me in good time, and was very willing to leave the choice of tune to me when required. Particularly challenging was the choice of tune for new words which were particularly suited to the theme of the service. Fortunately the tunes in TIS offer a very wide choice of metre! * Support when in need on a one to one basis. |

* My Choir memories of Ineke would be her coming to give prayers before the Service for the Choir. I have prayer cards but Ineke's prayers were better. Also popping in on a Thursday night's practise and wishing us well. Always encouraging. Dear lady. | |

Ineke Memories Page
- Ineke always came in to the Choir pre-service rehearsal to offer a prayer
- Ineke's enthusiasm for the Choir
- wanting us to sing at all the services which she led
- sorry we did not do this as often as you would have liked, Ineke!
- popping in to choir practices on Thursday evenings, sometimes to chat, sometimes to just listen
- Ineke's encouragements to the Choir
- Helping us to dare to try new things (e.g., sung psalms)

- Support when in need on a one to one basis.
- Always ready to visit private homes when a need was there.
- Ineke, We have been very blessed to have you with us, so involved with everything and with the Choir especially. It was a great pleasure for me to be seated with you at the 'International Banquet' - it was such a fun night, wasn't it? Will treasure all the little things you have done or said. All the best in your retirement (really?) Ineke and best wishes to you and Tom. We hope we will continue to be in touch.
- I have valued Ineke's wonderful ability to connect with people in such a meaningful way. I remember her children's address with the three tin cans showing that we couldn't tell what was inside from the label, but that it is important that we do show the love of God which is inside us to the outside world and not keep it hidden!
- Ineke provided spontaineous humour, open and engaging enthusiasm and so much of what I want in terms of christianity and worship, yet you always felt important and valued. These comments reflect so much in terms of unique ability to relate to people of all ages, to encourage people to work together and go forward with positive change and all with a wonderful sense of love. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
- A wonderful ability to listen and to give. Yes I have listened and laughed at the "interesting" life experiences in the children's addresses, the open caring for people across the congregation and the bustle and energy given to everyone. We have indeed been very fortunate.
- No matter what people bring in terms of skills and capacity Ineke always made you feel valued and worthy. This was shown particularly through the involvement and thoughtful encouragement to the Choir either on Thursday evenings or before the Sunday services. Just thank you and best wishes for a long and contented retirement together.
